How to create a Coming Soon page in WooCommerce

A coming soon page can be essential if you want to promote your products or offers before officially publishing them on your website. Encouraging them in advance is always better, whether it’s a new page, a category for similar items, or a specific product. It can bring a sense of curiosity in your customers and entices them to keep checking your website until you finally publish the official result.

Therefore, what you can do is create a particular page soon for these products or offers. New unpublished items can even be mentioned on the home or shop page, just like featured products. So now, all you have to do is create an upcoming WooCommerce page and link to them.

Steps by step to create a professional WooCommerce coming soon page

This is the best way to create a WooCommerce coming soon page is by using a wordpress plugin. Plugins in WooCommerce and WordPress can help increase the functionality of your website. Similarly, several plugins can also help you add a coming soon page to your WooCommerce shop.

SeedPord’s Website Builder was one of the best and first plugins that allowed users to add a coming soon page to their website. But now, it’s a full-featured website builder for creating a WooCommerce coming soon page, a custom theme, a maintenance page, and more. In addition, the plugin provides its drag-and-drop generator and a bunch of features to help you build the next page you want.

You can also choose from several upcoming templates for your online shop from this plugin. Select a template that best suits your website and start customizing it according to your needs.

Key features:

  • Drag and drop the next page builder.
  • Advanced typography options for the next page
  • Custom header and footer page coming soon
  • Multiple landing page templates
  • Default and mobile live preview

1. Install and activate the plugin.

First, go to Plugins> Add New from your WordPress dashboard and search for the keywords for the plugin in the search bar on the right side of your screen. Then, click Install Now to install the plugin.

Activate the plugin as soon as it is fully installed.

If you want to use a premium plugin, you must install and activate it manually. See our detailed guide on manually installing a WordPress plugin for more information.

2. Create your next WooCommerce page

After activating the plugin, go to SeedProd > Landing Pages from your WordPress dashboard. You will be redirected to the plugin panel to manage landing pages. Here click on Add new landing page.

Now, you can see all the available page templates of the plugin. To create an upcoming WooCommerce page, click on the Upcoming tab.

Then, you will need to select a template for your next page. There are several templates to choose from. But as you can see, the free version has minimal options.

You can get more templates by subscribing to their newsletter. But to access all the templates, you must use the plugin’s premium version. For now, we will only select a free template.

After that, you should add the page details for your next page.

Add the page name and URL here, click Save, and edit the page. We have named the page and entered the URL according to our new product, “Payment Manager for WooCommerce.”

3. Edit the Coming Soon page of your WooCommerce shop

Finally, you will proceed to the plugin’s feature-rich drag-and-drop generator. You can fully customize the coming soon page from here. It is similar and easy to use, just like some popular page builders like Divi, Elementor, Beaver Builder, etc.
